Ambasaam operates a SAHPRA-licensed and compliant warehouse facility that provides integrated logistics solutions for the healthcare industry, covering pharmaceuticals, medical devices (All classes), medical consumables, complementary medicines, and nutritional supplements.
The Ambasaam warehouse facility spans over 9000 square meters under roof, offering comprehensive storage solutions tailored to the healthcare industry:
- 7000+ pallet spaces in 5-level, 13-meter-high racks maintained at ambient temperatures (15-25°C).
- 230 square meters of refrigerated storage at 2-8°C.
- 130 cubic meters of freezer storage at -20°C.
- Capacity to manage 7000+ pallets with pallet racking systems, complete materials handling equipment, and a dedicated Warehouse Management System (WMS) that ensures compliant Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) for stock management.
- Approximately 1800 square meters of mezzanine floor space and 3000 square meters of warehouse floor space available for storage, fine pick areas, packing, staging, and checking areas customized to client needs.
- Environmentally controlled and maintained to pharmaceutical GWP standards, ensuring optimal conditions for storage.
- Capable of accommodating pharmaceuticals (Schedule 1 to 6), complementary medicines, all classes of medical devices, vitamins, supplements, and dietary supplements.

Our operations are supported by a proven Warehouse Management System (WMS) that ensures fully compliant Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) for stock management and offers comprehensive traceability. This cloud-hosted system is designed for seamless integration with client systems, providing clients with direct access to verify inventory levels, monitor status updates, and check stock availability in real time.
Dedicated Distribution
Ambasaam's logistics capabilities are bolstered by a diverse fleet of vehicles ranging from 1 ton LDV’s to 14 tons, ensuring prompt deliveries to various markets including Private, Government, and Clinics. For smaller shipments, we offer the convenience of an in-house pharmaceutical courier service.
Drawing from our extensive experience, Ambasaam has successfully managed national distribution mandates, including handling up to 6000 pallets of stock stored and delivering to nearly 200 medical facilities nationwide.
We are equipped to meet any client requirement through our robust distribution channels or trusted partners, ensuring flexible and reliable service tailored to the unique needs of the healthcare industry.
GWP Stock Management
Effective stock management aligned with Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) is critical in our industry, and Ambasaam's Warehouse Management Systems are fully compliant in this regard. We ensure meticulous management of stock by batch and expiry dates, maintaining complete traceability throughout the process.
Our systems are highly automated, beginning from receiving and put-away stages to scan-to-truck operations using advanced scanners and barcode technology for every item. This guarantees accuracy and enables seamless tracking of stock movements.
Clients benefit from electronic Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and system integration options for enhanced visibility and operational efficiency.
Upon receiving containers or trucks, stock data is promptly processed and uploaded within 12 hours into our dedicated Cloud hosted system. This ensures real-time access and secure storage of information.
Ambasaam is committed to swift turnaround times, typically processing orders from receipt to dispatch within 24 to 48 hours. We also accommodate emergency orders and provide after-hours access to spares, demonstrating our dedication as partners in our clients' businesses.
Expert Cold Chain Storage
Ambasaam offers comprehensive cold chain capabilities with dedicated refrigerated (2-8°C) and freezer (-20°C) facilities designed to accommodate thermolabile products. Our facilities encompass over 300 square meters of cold storage space, servicing four global laboratory diagnostics suppliers, highlighting our specialized expertise in this sector.
To ensure stringent temperature control and reliability, temperatures are continuously monitored and logged 24/7. We employ alert and alarm systems, backed by full redundancy on cooling systems and double backup generators. These measures provide robust contingency planning and early detection of potential issues. Risk management is a key factor in safeguarding client stock.
All our facilities are meticulously constructed, validated, and managed in accordance with Good Warehousing and Cold Chain Practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
A dedicated team manages the handling of all cold chain products, processing over 200 shipments daily to major laboratories across South Africa.
